They say charity begins at home. It was this simple thought that encouraged us to track down and support an inspirational local charity which looks after terminally ill children, providing respite, unstinting support and essential bereavement services for families with a child not expected to make it to adulthood.
Their aim is to, ‘encourage and enable young people to live to the limits of their horizons,’a beautiful, heart-warming vision that quite simply says it all.

Probably the most respected and revered children’s hospital in the world that selflessly looks after the interests of 100,000 seriously ill young people each and every year.
It is far too easy to assume that such a prestigious, world class institution is probably being well looked after by somebody else. The simple truth of the matter is that every single snippet of support, however large or small makes a very real and tangible difference to someone’s life.
